These types of transactions typically have a higher probability of fraud and chargebacks and/or are regulated or illegal in some jurisdictions. Yes, you can set your own custom name and billing address for every Halocard you create. If you do not set a custom name or billing address, your Halocard will default to the personal details your provided during your identity verification check. Are there any fees when using Halocards?

There are no transaction fees to worry about when using Halocard for USD purchases either online, or in-person, via Apple/Google Pay.

Non-USD purchases may attract an international transaction fee to cover currency conversion and overseas payment processing.

What details do I need to provide to verify my account?

Accepted Answer

To verify your Halocard account, you’ll be asked to complete a quick identity check as required by our card issuer, bank, and card network (Visa).

Identity check: You'll be asked to provide the following details:

Legal name
Residential address
Date of birth
A valid government-issued ID
A selfie to verify your identity

This check usually takes less than 3 minutes and is securely processed by our identity verification partner, Sumsub.

Visa compliance: Because Halocards are secured credit cards designed for high acceptance, Visa will ask a few additional questions:

Your occupation
Your approximate income
Your primary reason for using the card
Your expected card spend

These questions are for compliance purposes and do not result in any credit check or soft/hard credit pull.

This verification process is required to keep Halocard secure and compliant and once complete, Halocard removes the personal information used for identity verification from our platform. For more details see: What happens to my personal data after verification?
