Our card issuer and banking partners restrict certain countries in order to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud. As a result, Halocards cannot be issued to residents of restricted countries:

To verify your Halocard account, you’ll be asked to complete a quick identity check as required by the FinCEN Customer Identification Program (CIP) for Banks regulation. This law requires the following details be verified when issuing a new card or account:
Legal name
Residential address
Date of birth
A valid government-issued ID
A selfie to verify your identity

Halocard requires a valid phone number to:
Send SMS codes (known as "3D-Secure verification codes") to approve some online purchases. Please note these code are sent at the request of the merchant (not Halocard) in order to minimize fraud.
To recover your account in the event suspicious activity is detected and/or your account has become compromised.
