Why is a mobile number required?

Halocard requires a valid phone number to:

1. Send SMS codes (known as "3D-Secure verification codes") to approve some online purchases. Please note these code are sent at the request of the merchant (not Halocard) in order to minimize fraud.
2. To recover your account in the event suspicious activity is detected and/or your account has become compromised.

Disposable and burner numbers are not recommended and are used at your own risk.
