Q: Is Halocard available in my country?

Halocard is available to&#160;individuals 18 years or older in most countries worldwide. Please note our card issuer and banking partners restrict certain countries in order to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud. Are there any fees when using Halocards?

There are no transaction fees to worry about when using Halocard for US purchases either online, or in-person, via Apple/Google Pay.

Purchases outside the US, in a currency other than USD, may attract an international transaction fee to cover currency conversion and overseas payment processing.

Can I change my plan?

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan as your needs change. Plan upgrades take affect immediately and plan downgrades are processed at the end of your billing period.

What happens to my virtual cards if I downgrade my plan?

Any active virtual cards you have above the limit of your new plan will be automatically cancelled. Please ensure you're cancelled any excess cards before downgrading your plan.

Refunds and cancellations

Subscription fees are billed in advance and non-refundable. If you choose to cancel, you plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I set custom billing address for my Halocards?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can set a custom billing address for every Halocard you create.

If you do not set a custom billing address, your Halocard will use your default address provided during your identification check.

A billing address is associated with your Halocard for payment verification and compliance purposes. Merchants receive only the information required to perform billing and address verification checks, and your full personal details are not shared or exposed.

Why is a mobile number required?

A mobile number is required to open a Halocard account for security, verification and compliance purposes.

Halocard uses your phone number to send text messages for important alerts including:

One-time login codes
Funds received to your Halocard account
One-time 3D-Secure codes (when required for online purchases)
New transactions on your Halocards
Security notifications

Usage of VoIP Numbers

Halocard does not recommend using Voice over IP (VoIP) numbers as they are often unreliable. Using a standard, post-paid mobile service helps ensure you receive time-sensitive text messages and transaction alerts without interruption.
