What details do I need to provide to verify my account (KYC)?

To verify your Halocard account, you’ll be asked to complete a quick identity check as required by the FinCEN Customer Identification Program (CIP) for Banks regulation. This law requires the following details be verified when issuing a new card or account:

  1. Legal name
  2. Residential address
  3. Date of birth
  4. A valid government-issued ID
  5. A selfie to verify your identity

This check usually takes less than 3 minutes and is securely processed by our identity verification partner, Sumsub.

Visa also requests additional details when issuing credit cards, which are their highest acceptance product. These details are used to protect your account from unusual activity and do not result in a credit check or pull. These additional questions are:

  • Your occupation
  • Your approximate income
  • Your primary reason for using the card
  • Your expected card spend

Halocard does not extend credit to customers and does not work with credit bureaus or reporting agencies. Halocard also does not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers or third parties, and never will.
