Where are Halocards accepted?
Halocards are USD denominated, virtual credit cards that function just like a normal credit card and can be used globally for online and in-person purchases wherever Visa, Apple Pay or Google Pay are accepted.
Halocards are issued in the USA offering superior acceptance at US merchants and avoiding common payment issues experienced with traditional prepaid, debit card and foreign credit cards.
While optimized for purchases at US merchants, Halocards can also be used globally for non-USD transactions at 150M+ merchants, wherever VISA is accepted, subject to international transaction fee.
US purchases that require a US billing address
Some US merchants may require an accompanying US billing address when approving online purchases. You can define a custom billing address when creating a new card. For more information see: How to use a custom billing address?
Prohibited purchases
Halocard blocks payments in certain high-risk merchant categories (based on Merchant Category Codes) to meet card network and compliance requirements. For the full list see: Are there merchant category restrictions for Halocard?
Declined transactions
Please note that acceptance is ultimately determined by each merchant and Halocard makes no guarantees that transactions will be successful. Halocards also cannot override account limits, regional restrictions, or other rules a merchant may put in place that restrict payment methods.
If one or more of your transactions are declined, the decline reason will be visible in your transaction history. If you believe a transaction has been declined in error, see: Why did my transaction decline?
