How do Disposable Cards work?
Disposable cards are designed for making one-off purchases and are available with any annual plan.
Disposable cards require a spending budget of $5,000 or less and will automatically cancel after the first successful purchase.
Disposable cards will accept any billing address at checkout, meaning they will automatically pass Address Verification System (AVS) checks with any address you make your purchase with. They cannot be added to Apple or Google Pay.
We don't recommend using disposable cards for purchases that require a pre-authorization check (i.e. charging $0.01 to the card to check if it exists). Disposable cards cancel after the first successful transaction, so if a pre-authorization check is performed successfully, the disposable card will automatically cancel and not allow any follow-on charges. For these sorts of purchases we recommend using virtual cards.
Limits
Your quota for Disposable Cards replenishes every monthly, unlike regular virtual cards, so you can create 3, 12 or 24 new disposable cards every month (depending on your plan).
Separately to this, you can have a maximum of 10 disposable cards active at any one time and spend a maximum of $5,000 every 24 hours via disposable cards.
