Can I choose any name or address at checkout?

Yes, you can use any name at checkout, but your billing address should match the one on your Halocard.


Name


The name you enter at checkout is not used to verify your card. Merchants do not check the cardholder name against the card details, so you're free to enter any name you like, whether that's your legal name (used for KYC), the name displayed on your Halocard, or something else entirely.


The card name you set in your Halocard Dashboard is purely for your own organisation (i.e. labelling which subscription or service the card is used for) and is never shared with merchants.


Billing Address


Your billing address is checked at checkout. Merchants use AVS (Address Verification Service) to compare the billing details you enter with the address on file for your card to help prevent fraudulent transactions.


The billing address, and in particular the zip code, must match the billing address on your Halocard or the payment may be declined. To avoid issues, always enter the exact billing address shown for your Halocard at checkout.


Set a custom Billing Address in a different region


If you'd prefer to use a different billing address, for example to better match the region of a service you're subscribing to, you can set a custom Billing Address directly from your Halocard Dashboard. Just make sure to use that same address at checkout so AVS checks pass.
