What happens to my personal data when I use Halocard?

Once verification is complete, Halocard removes the personal information used for identity verification from its platform; that information is processed and retained by our regulated partners for account security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

These partners include our identity verification provider, card-issuing bank, payment processor, and fraud-prevention services, each of which handles data under their own privacy policies and cardholder agreements, which apply to their respective services.

Additional data that may be created when using Halocard could be:

  • Transaction data to authorise and settle card transactions via our card-issuing bank
  • Funding data to add funds to your account securely via our payment processor
  • Basic account data and device information to manage accounts and support enquiries via our team

Halocard does not sell your data, use it for advertising, or report your activity to credit bureaus. Halocard retains only limited account and transaction records needed to operate your account, support transactions, and meet legal requirements, and only for the periods required by law.
