# Can I restore a cancelled card?

No, once a Halocard is cancelled, it unfortunately cannot be restored.

Cancelling a card permanently closes it and prevents any further transactions. This action is irreversible for security and compliance reasons.

If you’re unsure whether you should cancel a card, consider locking it instead, which temporarily disables the card while keeping it available for future use.
